What is informational writing?

Directions:
Now that you have research on France, make a plan for your essay.  Manage your time carefully so that you can:
  • plan your multi-paragraph essay.
  • write your multi-paragraph essay.
  • revise and edit the final draft.

Remember to check your notes and your pre-writing/planning as you write and then revise
and edit your speech.​
Remember, a good essay:
  • Has an introduction that clearly states the main idea in  topic sentence
  • Uses specific evidence from the text(s) to support the main 
  • Groups ideas in paragraphs
  • Has a conclusion
  • Uses precise language and linking words to connect ideas 
  • Has correct spelling, capitalization, and punctuation
